Currently, my work at BWTel involves a mix of Drupal, Freeswitch, Perl, PHP, and LUA, with a tiny bit of Asterisk. When I'm not down in the weeds on something technical, I'm generally in the clouds with telecom policy. I spent the winter of 2012 doing fax and T.38-related work.

A few years ago, I spent a lot of time working on PKI policy and things like FIPS 140 and the US Government's PIV Card.

Once upon a time, I was in the land records software industry.

I'm not one for a lot of technical nostalgia, but I do have fond memories of my IBM PCjr. And we're getting a typewriter at home soon. I'm excited. And I keep an analog telephone on my desk. When my desk gets bigger, it will be joined by a rotary-dial phone.
